When the famous Cheltenham roar booms from the capacity crowds as the tape rises for the opening race, this signals the beginning of Champion Dayand a fantastic week of racing at the Cheltenham Festival.
The headline race of the day is the much anticipated Champion Hurdle, which in 2018 was won in impressive style by Buveur D'Air for the second year in a row, huge crowds watched on as he powered up the Cheltenham hill to secure victory in the big race of the opening day.

The Green Room
Located on the top floor of the parade ring viewing boxes and offering amazing views of the Parade Ring and across the Racecourse, The Green Room restaurant is Cheltenham’s premier hospitality facility. The Green Room is synonymous with exuberance and provides a truly interactive experience, where you will not only enjoy the very best in hospitality but also rub shoulders with some of the most famous faces in the sport.
