It will be a crucial home game for Arsenal who will be eager to start their season off with a win. Each season the Merseyside derby is the most anticipated fixture of the new season in the North West. Chelsea will play London rivals Tottenham Hotspur in what will be a hotly contested fixture between the teams. Newly appointed manager and ex Chelsea player Frank Lampard will be keen to have a home win against the London rival. The last time these two met at Stamford Bridge Chelsea earned a 2-0 victory, after being 0-0 at half time Pedro scored Chelsea's first goal in the 57th minute and with Kieran Trippier's own goal just before the end of the game Chelsea went 2-0 up.
Title winners and runners-up will face one another in a highly anticipated match at the end of the season, this fixture could play a vital role in the season's standings, one thing's for sure this will be an unmissable game. Out of their two games last season the first ended with a 0-0 draw, but Man City pulled it back when they met again at Etihad and earned a 2-1 win.
