Hospitality Finder are proud to announce F1 legend Mark Webber will be joining us at Silverstone inside The Green Room for the F1 British GP.

After competing in British Formula Ford, Formula 3 and Formula 3000 Mark Webber made his Formula 1 debut in 2002 with Minardi. His first race was a home one at the Australian Grand Prix and following a dramatic season opener he placed fifth, earning Minardi their first points in three years.

He certainly made a name for himself in the sport and soon signed to Jaguar Racing before moving onto to the historic team of Williams in 2005. It was in 2007 that Webber signed with the infamous Red Bull team, and with them he achieved his first F1 win, at the German Grand Prix in 2009, after beating his teammate Sebastian Vettel to the top spot.

Across his 12-year career in Formula 1 Mark Webber competed in 215 races, earned 42 podiums, 9 wins and 19 fastest laps. He also has victories at the prestigious Monaco Grand Prix and the British Grand Prix, so he will certainly be able to give our guests some great insights to the Silverstone Circuit.

He retired from Formula 1 in 2013 but didn’t hang up his racing boots as he moved to the World Endurance Championship. In 2014 Porsche returned to the sport with Mark at the helm of the Porsche 919 Hybrid car. Alongside his teammates Brendon Hartley and Timo Bernhard, Webber earned 14 podiums and eight wins, helping Porsche to win the World Manufacturers title twice and earned him the World Drivers’ Championship title in 2015.

Since retiring Webber has stayed in the Motor Sport world covering the Australian GP with Network Ten and joining Channel 4 for their coverage of Formula 1 in the UK alongside Steve Jones and fellow F1 legend David Coulthard.

Mark Webber brings with him a wealth of knowledge and expert analysis of the sport and we can’t wait for him to join us inside The Green Room at the British Grand Prix in 2022.
