Over the weekend England came up against the mighty Scotland in the hopes of gaining a fifth win in the series and the infamous Calcutta Cup. More importantly than that a victory at Twickenham would secure England a Six Nations victory for the second year in a row.
Taking in all of the upcoming action were our VIP guests, who were back in The Green Room once again for some of the best corporate hospitality at Twickenham Stadium.
Upon arrival our VIP guests were treated to a champagne and drinks reception where they could mingle with the stars. At this match The Green Room played host to footballer David James, cricketers Darren Gough and Alec Stewart, and TalkSport radio presenter Alan Brazil.
Once seated our guests were treated to a four-course meal consisting of London Cured salmon, Rib of Hereford Beef, White Chocolate and Raspberry Cheesecake followed by a sumptuous cheeseboard. Whilst lunch was being served Sir Clive Woodward took to the stage with Green Room Host Mark Durden-Smith to give his pre-match analysis of the upcoming game.
Following Sir Clive’s prediction our panel of rugby legends were invited on to the stage. The final panel of Twickenham’s Six Nations consisted of Hospitality Finder ambassadors Lawrence Dallaglio and Mike Tindall and their former England teammates Austin Healey and Iain Balshaw, who delighted the audience with tales of their rugby days.
Once the on-stage entertainment had finished our guests made their way into the stadium for the spectacular battle that was England v Scotland.
Eddie Jones’ side dominated the match and pulled off a spectacular performance and won the match 61-21, making them Six Nations Champions. Their Six Nations victory also means that the 2017 England side have equaled New Zealand’s record of 18 consecutive test match wins.
Once the final whistle blew our VIP guests returned to The Green Room where it was time for then to enjoy their superb post-match Twickenham tea.
Once more the panel of rugby legends gave their insight on the game and took part in a Q&A session with the audience. Following this, fresh off the pitch, England Rugby player Jack Nowell joined us to give a first-hand review of the game. Nowell then rounded off a spectacular day by announcing our lucky prize draw winner who will be returning to The Green Room for the England v Samoa game in November.
