With the Autumn Internationals well underway, Twickenham played host to England’s third game in the season where they were up against Argentina. England already had two previous wins under their belt having already beaten the South African and Fiji sides.
Our exclusive hospitality facility The Green Room was open once again for all our VIP guests. Renowned for being hosted by England rugby legends Lawrence Dallaglio and Mike Tindall, they were joined by Austin Healey and David Flatman. The Green Room doesn’t just play host to rugby legends, as other stars were in attendance. They included comedian Jack Whitehall, English footballer and pundit Jamie Redknapp and Winter Olympic gold medallist Amy Williams.
Once the guests had arrived they were treated to a champagne reception and took to their seats ready for a four-course meal in addition to enjoying the complimentary drinks on offer.
Rugby World Cup winning head coach Sir Clive Woodward took to the stage for a Q&A session where he gave his insight on the current England squad, and how he thought they would fare ahead of the match against Argentina.
As usual, our VIP guests were treated to a pre-match panel with rugby legends Lawrence Dallaglio, Mike Tindall, Austin Healey and special guest David Flatman, hosted by Mark Durden Smith. They entertained the audience with tales from their England rugby days and how they thought the match would play out.
After dinner guests made their way to their seats to watch England take on Argentina. Despite an early red card for Eddie Jones’ side, the team went on to win 27-14, giving them their 13th win in a row. If England can beat Australia in their final Autumn International, it will mean the team remain unbeaten this year.
After a thrilling match, our VIP guests returned to The Green Room where they enjoyed a post-match savoury selection of treats whilst guest speakers Dallaglio, Tindall, Healey and Flatman gave their post-match analysis. The entertainment did not end there as current England player Courtney Lawes made a guest appearance to give his first-hand opinion on how the game went. Lawes also announced the winner of our prize draw competition, where one lucky winner received two VIP Hospitality packages to England v Italy in the Six Nations 2017. Once the drinks had stopped flowing guests then retired after an exhilarating and memorable day at Twickenham.
