Discover more about Kevin Pietersen MBE
One of the most flamboyant batsmen to ever grace the field, Kevin Pietersen’s cricketing prowess is world-renowned. A true nomad of the sport, he has enjoyed a wealth of success wherever he has played - and now he’s top of the order for the Hospitality Finder team.
Born in South Africa, Kevin moved to England to pursue his cricketing career in 2000 - securing an impressive batting average of 57.95 in his debut season at Nottinghamshire CCC.
Just four years later, he was making his bow for the England team, playing his first international against Zimbabwe at the start of a highly successful series that England won 4-0.
Named ‘Emerging Player of the Year’ in 2005, Kevin joined England again for their famous Ashes Test against Australia - securing his place in folklore by helping return the Ashes to England for the first time since the late 80’s.
Then, in 2008, Kevin became England’s Test and ODI captain, scoring a century on his ODI debut as England defeated South Africa 4–0.
Sure to go down as one of the most exciting batsman the game has seen, he is the fastest player to reach both 1,000 and 2,000 runs in One Day International cricket, and boasts the second-highest run total from his first 25 Tests behind the legendary Sir Don Bradman.
Clearly a man for the big occasion, he’s a fabulous addition to our select group of sporting Ambassadors, bringing his colourful character and unrivalled cricketing insight to the top table in our exclusive hospitality suite The Green Room.
