England later played a series exciting ODI fixtures against Australia, South Africa and West Indies, where they went on a winning streak of 10 matches in 2012 under ODI captain Alastair Cook and moved to the top of the ICC one day international rankings.
England have since gone on to notch up an impressive test series win against India, giving the tourists their first win on the subcontinent for almost 30 years, consolidating their position as one of the top test cricket side in the World and ensuring 2013 will be a mouthwatering year of cricket.
