England 26 - 17 Australia

Last weekend saw England come up against Australia for the last match of their autumn international series. Both teams hadn’t managed to make their mark on the season so far so both sides were looking for that all-important win.

The day began with welcoming hostesses who greeted our Twickenham hospitality guests with glasses of complimentary champagne as they entered our Platinum Suite at the Orchard Enclosure hospitality suite. As our guests made their way to their seats, talk of the day’s match begun debates across the suite.

Conversations discussing the match ahead remained optimistic as our VIP guests tucked into their luxury four course lunches accompanied by a selection of complimentary drinks. A round of applause took over the suite as guest MC Gareth Chilcott took to the stage for some pre-match analysis.

Alongside Gareth, former England captain Martin Corry entertained the room with stories of his history within rugby and also went on to give his prediction on the battle in advance between England and the Wallabies.

Soon enough it was time to head over to the best seats in the house to enjoy the match. Australia started the match successfully and turned the 0-0 score into 0-3 within 5 minutes but England soon came back fighting to make it level pegging again.

Within half an hour England were 13-3 up against their opponents causing the stadium to come alive with chanting and cheering all around. The score remained the same up until half time.

In the second half, England suffered as Australia took their score up to 10, quickly catching the home team. This didn’t deter Chris Robshaw’s team as they managed to win their last autumn international with a fantastic score of 26-17.

Eng v Aus 14 Green Room

Smiles were all around within the Green Room hospitality suite as guest speakers Lawrence Dallaglio, Austin Healey and David Campese mingled with pleased England supporters. Celebrations continued with famous faces Davina McCall and Greg Wallace as they shared a celebratory drink with our VIP Green Room guests.

Across in our Platinum Suite within the Orchard Enclosure our VIP guests enjoyed a post-match analysis from current England players Owen Farrell and David Attwood. The players gave their views on the match and showed confidence when asked about the Rugby World Cup 2015.

Next up for England are the RBS Six Nations where they will be taking on Scotland, Wales, Ireland, France and Italy. Their win against the Wallabies has given them the lift they need to go onto winning their 2015 fixtures.
