DG ProfileHailed as “One of the most respected and admired cricketers of our generation”, Darren Gough has had a successful career playing International cricket for England and as captain of the Yorkshire County Cricket Club.

Gough started playing for the England cricket team in 1994 where he played both Test and One Day International cricket. He quickly become one of England’s most celebrated bowlers and has established himself as one of the teams most successful wicket-takers. After retiring from Test Cricket in 2003 he continued to play One Day Internationals where he became the first Englishman to take 200 wickets in one-day cricket.

Throughout his County career Darren played for both Yorkshire and Essex. Starting his career with Yorkshire he played there for 15 years, before moving to Essex in 2004 where he played for three years. At the start of the 2007 season he returned to his home of Yorkshire where he became their clubs team captain.

Darren later retired in 2008 with 234 wickets in One Day Cricket and 229 Test wickets to his name, he is without doubt, one of England’s most celebrated bowlers and a legend amongst the Yorkshire County Cricket Club.

Darren brings with him not only a wealth of experience but personality to The Green Room sure to delight and entertain any cricket fan.
