The opening weekend of the 2010 RBS 6 Nations saw a rejuvenated England play host to an exciting Wales side at Twickenham, the Home of Rugby.

Inside our Official England v Wales hospitality facility at Twickenham, champagne flowed and the rugby-loving crowd created a vibrant atmosphere. Guests later took their seats for an exquisite four course lunch, during which former England captain and Rugby World Cup winner Martin Corry OBE was our guest speaker, providing insight, opinions and great anecdotes to entertain the guests.

Several complementary drinks later, guests made the short walk to take up their grouped west stand seats for the match prior to kick off. The view from the sidelines gives clients an unparalleled view of the entire pitch, the perfect location to enjoy all the action. Twickenham Stadium was celebrating its centennial year and the occasion was marked with extended pre-match festivities before the teams marched out.

As expected the England v Wales game was a cracker, two fierce rivals going head-to-head, both desperate not to lose the opening encounter of their Six Nations campaigns. The majority of the first half saw England dominating possession through a powerful forward effort, but with Wales looking the more dangerous on the few occasions they did get the ball. Welsh indiscipline led to England’s first try through James Haskell, who crashed over from short range. England scored again early in the second period when scrum half Danny Care broke down the ring wing to score a nice try which Wilkinson duly converted.

With 15 players on the field again, Wales were on the front foot and came roaring back with well worked tries by Adam Jones and James Hook, setting up a thrilling climax to the match. However England, urged on by the Twickenham faithful, eventually managed a breakaway try late on. The electric Matthew Tait surged clear, then offloaded to Haskell who scored his second try of the game, earning him the man of the match trophy and sealing the England v Wales victory for the home crowd.

The spirited atmosphere continued back at the Official Twickenham corporate hospitality facility after the match. Guests enjoyed the complementary bar and gourmet buffet whilst reliving all the thrills and spills of a pulsating match. Later in the evening the Official Corporate Hospitality concluded, bringing an end to a fantastic day for England on the pitch, as well as a memorable corporate event for Hospitality Finder, providing clients with a unique Twickenham experience.
