The Ryder Cup promises to be a great sporting occasion as the world prepares for another contest between the US and Europe in the Ryder Cup.

The Ryder Cup has been running since 1927, and is contested every two years between teams from Europe and the United States. This year's Ryder Cup is being held at the Medinah Country Club, Chicago, where the American team will be hoping that home advantage will help them win back the Ryder Cup after last year's 14.5/13.5 defeat at Celtic Manor, Wales.

With the team qualification process underway, players such as Luke Donald, Lee Westwood, Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson will be looking to cement their places in the team as quick as possible to avoid missing out in what promises to be another fascination Ryder Cup tournament.
